The US Stove DR55 closed (sealed top) head steel drum barrel is unpainted and suitable for use with any barrel camp stove kit. The barrel camp stove is one of the most basic stove designs. The DR55 barrels have been used, cleaned and then bead blasted. The DR55 drums have not been painted so there may be small areas of surface rust that can easily be sanded out. Oils may be present on the surfaces that will need to be burned off during the initial use. The DR55 can be used with the barrel stove kit for a complete barrel camp stove kit. Heavy duty steel assures longer performance. Material thickness: top 18-Gauge, body 20-Gauge, bottom 18-Gauge. Barrel paint and color finish may vary, they are coated with a rust inhibitor. Creating a barrel stove is easy, just cut a hole for the door in the end of the barrel and cut a hole in the side for the flue, attach the legs, door and flue to the stove and add wood.
