The barrel camp stove is one of the most basic stove designs. The DR55 barrels have been used, cleaned and then bead blasted. The DR55 drums have not been painted so there may be small areas of surface rust that can easily be sanded out. Oils may be present on the surfaces that will need to be burned off during the initial use. The DR55 can be used with the BSK1000 model for a complete barrel camp stove kit. This barrel has a welded top and bottom so that it can be used as a primitive wood stove. If you want to use as a burn barrel, you will need to cut the top off. Heavy duty steel assures longer performance. Material thickness: top 18-Gauge, body 20-Gauge, bottom 18-Gauge. Barrel paint and color finish may vary, they are coated with a rust inhibitor. Creating a barrel stove is easy, just cut a hole for the door in the end of the barrel and cut a hole in the side for the flue, attach the legs, door and flue to the stove and add wood. Barrels are new and have not been used for chemicals. Photos represent some of the possible finishes but we cannot which color will be received.
